Mission Statement

YouthRising.Com is a Christ-centered community on the World Wide Web. This community was created to help teens and young adults in their walk with God. Our mission is to create a safe, clean, and fun environment for members to fellowship, pray, and grow spiritually. We are also here to reach out to those who have questions about their faith. It is our desire to bring glory to God in all that we do at YouthRising.Com.

Statement of Faith

The sole basis of our belief is the Bible, God's undeniable written Word, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. We believe that it was written without error in the original and it is the ultimate authority in all matters on which it speaks.

We desire to allow for freedom of conviction on other doctrinal matters, provided that any interpretation is based upon the Bible alone, and that no such interpretation shall become an issue which hinders the ministry to which God has called us.

We believe in the gifts the Spirit brings as a sign of His presence with no particular gift meriting God’s favor, but openness to all of them. Only as each person allows the Spirit to work does the Christian body become all that God intends it to be.

We believe in God the Father, Creator, and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth, Who prepared this life for us and Who calls us into His future.

We believe in God's only Son, Jesus Christ, who came to provide access for us into the fullness of God. Only through Jesus Christ is eternal life possible to everyone who receives Him as Savior and Lord.

We believe in God's Holy Spirit, given by Jesus Christ to all His people as a source of strength until His return.

We believe man was originally created in the image of God. He sinned by disobeying God; thus, he was alienated from his Creator. Every man is in need of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

We believe the salvation of man is wholly a work of God's free grace and is not the work, in whole or in part, of human works or goodness or religious ceremony. God imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation, and thereby justified them in His sight.

We believe every believer is called to live so in the power of the indwelling Spirit that he will not fulfill the lust of the flesh but will bear fruit to the glory of God.

We believe Jesus Christ will come again to the earth -- personally, visibly and bodily -- to make known the eternal plan of God and bring about His justification.

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ commands all believers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to disciple men of every nation. The fulfillment of that Great Commission requires that all worldly and personal ambitions be subordinated to a total commitment to "Him who loved us and gave Himself for us."

We as individuals and a united family must proclaim the name of Jesus to all who will hear. For those who give testimony and glory back to God, do indeed find favor in the sight of God! Rising up against the grain of this world, leaving the former attitude behind, we as new creatures in God's sight, should declare that it is time to rise, take a stand, and lift Jesus high!
